The Advanced Lambda series is a successor to the SR-Λ (Lambda) series that first appeared in 1979. The SR-L700, the top-end model in the series, has undergone a minor change to the MK2. The re-cable structure is the first to be adopted as an ear speaker, and the case holder has been changed from the conventional plastic material to aluminum. In addition to increasing strength, the fit of the ear pads to the side of the head has been improved, and the reproduction of low frequencies has been improved. While retaining the concept of the Λ series, which uses a characteristic oval sound unit that matches the shape of the outer ear, this model uses the multi-layer fixed electrode "MLER" obtained from the development of the higher-end model. The newly detachable cable section uses the same hybrid cable of 6NCu + silver-plated soft copper wire as the flagship model SR-009S. It is characterized by its excellent sound quality and ease of maintenance.
Re-cable compatible
In recent years, we have adopted a replaceable cable structure (re-cable structure), which has become a trend in high-quality headphones. This improves the usability of the ear speaker by enabling future support for high-quality cables and easy maintenance against unexpected disconnections. The SR-L700MK2 comes with a parallel 6-core wide low-capacity cable made of 6N (99.9999%) OFC + silver-plated soft copper wire, the same as the top-of-the-line model SR-009S. This ensures reliable signal transmission without losing the freshness of the sound.
Aluminum case holder
The change in material has allowed for a more flexible mechanism design. In the MK2 model, the case holder has been changed from the conventional linear design to a gently curved design, which has the effect of making the ear pads fit more naturally to the side of the head. In addition, the high rigidity makes it less likely for unnecessary distortion or twisting to occur when worn, and the fit (degree of adhesion) has been greatly improved. In open-type ear speakers, increased adhesion when worn greatly contributes to improved low-frequency reproduction.
Newly developed MLER oval sound unit:
Using thermal diffusion bonding technology that integrates metals at the atomic level under high pressure and high sound pressure, the new generation oval fixed electrode MLER (Multi Layer Elect Rods) is adopted, which achieves flatness, low resonance, and high sound wave transmittance while making the plate thinner. The vibration-damping bridge is integrated, achieving extremely low resonance.
Original wide low-capacity hybrid cable made of 6N (99.9999%) OFC + silver-plated soft copper wire
The highly rated 6N OFC (φ0.14×3) is used for the center wire, and six silver-plated soft copper wires (φ0.08×9) are arranged around it. The overall structure is most suitable for electrostatic type voltage transmission, and inherits the wide original parallel type that minimizes the inter-wire capacitance. The "freshness of the sound" is not compromised in the slightest.
Arc Assembly
10-step click position adjustment and load distribution. Adjust it once and it will always maintain the optimal position. The soft headband provides a light wearing experience. Comfortable even for long listening sessions.

Ear Pads: These new ear pads are carefully crafted by artisans using genuine sheepskin leather with excellent breathability that keeps the humidity level of the entire ear in good condition, and cushioning material with just the right amount of elasticity. Dramatically improves the "freshness of sound" and "quality of sound."
