The B-Line Celebrates its Return
Like the matching B1xi integrated amplifier, the B1xcd is designed in true Musical Fidelity high-end philosophy available at a more accessible price. From the fine fit and finish of its metal casework to the unique technology sitting inside, the B1xcd exceeds expectations. Its purpose-built tray-loading mechanism and BlueTiger™ CD-88 servosystem ensure precise disc reading. The LCD display provides clear information, including track, time, and CD text where available.



The B1xcd is equipped with analogue RCA outputs, while coaxial and optical digital outputs allow connection to an external DAC. The Musical Fidelity B-Line became an icon of the 1980s by bringing genuine high-end audio engineering to a more accessible price point. Praised for its outstanding sound performance and uncompromising “Musical Fidelity”, it opened the door to high-end sound for a new audience of music enthusiasts.

True Red Book CD Player
The Red Book standard specifies the physical parameters and properties of Digital Audio Compact Discs (CD-DA). Pure CD players are, in contrast to DVD or Blu-ray Disc players, frequently better in playback of stereo CDs. The drive is specifically optimized for 1:1 playback of the Red Book CD-DA standard.



The B1xi is the latest development in our line of CD players, using cutting-edge technology to ensure excellent 1:1 readout of Red Book audio CDs. The CD drive is protected by a robust metal cover, and employs a low-vibration disc mechanism mounting to dramatically reduces jitter and extraneous noise.

CD-88 BlueTiger™ Servo
A CD drive is only as good as the servo which controls it. It‘s like the brain of the human which controls the movement of the body. Without the best brain you cannot reach the best performance in sport although the muscles are big. The B1xi uses the new BlueTiger™ CD-88 servo. Developed by SUOS, it is the most advanced on the market.



A continued refinement of the original CD- 80 board, the "88" revision showcases the latest developments and improvements in absolute high-end CD read-out. This is a more complex topic than one might want to admit and the argument that "it is just ones and zeroes" is a gross oversimplification. Even digital signals can be distorted, so much so that a bit of data that should be "1" eventually becomes a "0".



Errors can happen at every stage; physical damage on the surface of the CD, wrong read-outs by the optical pick-up unit drive, mechanical vibrations due to bad chassis build quality or the data connection between laser pick-up unit and DAC. Next to a perfect CD drive mechanism, advanced error correction and predictive algorithms are an absolute necessity to achieve perfect CD playback at all times - the CD-88 BlueTiger™ servo sets the industry standard, positioning it far above any other solution currently on the market.
