Inspired by an era when loudspeakers fully claimed their place in the living space, it embodies a certain vision of Hi-Fi: a lively, open sound capable of filling the room with energy.



Thanks to its 21cm midwoofer combined with modern acoustic technologies, the BR05 offers a fine balance between precision, scale and rich bass, while remaining accessible. A true alternative to floorstanding speakers, the BR05 is designed for hi-fi enthusiasts looking for impact with nuance, capable of filling rooms from 15 to 45m².

GENEROUS SOUND, ALWAYS UNDER CONTROL
From the very first notes, the BR05 impresses with its solid foundation. Its 21cm midwoofer delivers full, rich bass. Its reproduction of voices, instruments and percussion offers a surprising sense of presence for a speaker of this size.



This energy is combined with a refined and nuanced reproduction. The work carried out on the texture of the driver’s natural cellulose pulp cone, together with the EFS tweeter, preserves all the precision and musicality characteristic of the BOREA range.

A CUSTOM-DESIGNED DRIVER
At the heart of the BR05 is an all-new 21 cm midwoofer, developed specifically for this model. Far from focusing solely on power in the low frequencies, much of the development work was dedicated to the quality of the midrange, an essential element in the speaker’s musicality.



Its cone, made from 100% natural cellulose pulp, an emblematic TRIANGLE material, plays a central role. This untreated paper texture promotes a rich and nuanced reproduction of timbres, bringing voices and instruments a true sense of texture and presence.

Every element, from the cone profile to the choice of dust cap, has been carefully adjusted to achieve the best coherence between scale and finesse. The result is a generous listening experience, combining the depth of the bass with the subtlety of the midrange and the musical pleasure that defines the BOREA signature.

AN OPTIMIZED CABINET
The BR05 cabinet was not simply designed to house its large-diameter driver, but to reveal its full potential. Every design choice aims to channel the energy of the transducer and preserve the neutrality of the speaker.



1. Made from high-density MDF panels up to 21mm thick, its cabinet ensures excellent rigidity and contributes to low-frequency control.

2. The BR05 integrates the DVAS system, Driver Vibration Absorption System, an exclusive TRIANGLE architecture. Developed to absorb the vibrations generated by the driver, a high-density EVA foam gasket connects the rear of the motor to an internal brace. This structure helps dissipate part of the mechanical energy and reduces vibrations transmitted to the cabinet.

3. This design is completed by two additional internal braces, positioned in the upper and lower sections of the cabinet. They increase the mechanical rigidity of the enclosure, reduce unwanted resonances and contribute to a more natural, dynamic and faithful reproduction.

CONTROLLED AIRFLOW AND FREEDOM OF PLACEMENT
Thanks to the high excursion of its 21cm driver, the BR05 is capable of moving a significant volume of air. Using a single port could have generated excessive air speed, leading to turbulence and unwanted airflow noise at high listening levels.



The double port distributes this airflow over a larger surface area, improving bass clarity. This architecture contributes to better power handling, more stable reproduction and deep, perfectly controlled low frequencies.

Tip: The bass-reflex ports are positioned on the front of the speaker, making placement easier by reducing the constraints linked to the distance from the rear wall.

AUDIOPHILE ENGINEERING
True to the BOREA DNA, the BR05 integrates the EFS (Efficient Flow System) tweeter, a technology specific to the range and developed by TRIANGLE. It combines a 25mm silk dome with a phase plug, designed to homogenize high-frequency diffusion.



The BR05 integrates a passive crossover designed with rigorously selected components. It combines large-gauge air-core inductors to limit losses, polyester film capacitors and cement resistors, chosen for their reliability and long-term stability. This component selection helps preserve the integrity of the audio signal and ensures precise, transparent and homogeneous reproduction.



The BR05 features dual binding posts compatible with bi-wiring and bi-amplification, offering greater flexibility for system configuration and optimization. This flexibility makes it possible to use separate amplification for the bass and treble, refining their control and making full use of the speaker’s acoustic potential.



DUAL LISTENING POSITION
The BR05 offers two setup options, depending on use and integration preferences:



It is supplied with a base that tilts the speaker by 10° towards the listening area. This inclination optimizes the diffusion and coherence of the soundstage, while fully contributing to the speaker’s visual identity. In this position, the BR05 maintains a discreet presence in the room, with a reduced visual footprint that makes it easy to integrate.



For more demanding installations, it can also be placed on the optional S03 stands. Designed to match its format, they position the speaker at an ideal listening height while enhancing both its sonic potential and its design. The stand is available in two finishes, Black and White, to best match your interior.
