========
Engineered for large spaces, the Solstice 8 combines great performance and a wide soundstage, faithfully reproducing the full emotional impact of recordings with naturalness and precision.
This 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker benefits from the key innovations developed for SOLSTICE, such as the new ābarrel-typeā horn tweeter, optimisations to the midrange and woofer drivers, and the innovative base design, which combines several functions.
The Solstice 8 stands out for its ability to combine breadth and subtlety. Its two woofers, with their sleek design, give it a remarkable foundation capable of reproducing both the scale of a large orchestra and the energy and liveliness of contemporary music.
Within a wide and precise soundstage, the mid-to-high range naturally reveals both the harmonic richness of the instruments and the subtle nuances of the vocal range.
Thanks to its high dynamic range and dual terminals compatible with bi-wiring or bi-amping, the Solstice 8 is ideally suited to a system in a room of 15 to 50 m², whether for Hi-Fi use or as part of a home cinema setup.
SOUND SIGNATURE -Ā A BALANCE BETWEEN STRENGTH AND SUBTLETY
SOLSTICE builds on the fundamentals of the ESPRIT range with a resolutely modern and ambitious vision, in which precision and energy are expressed naturally.
The speakers achieve greater overall balance by combining deep, perfectly controlled bass with exceptionally clear vocal reproduction, creating an immediate sense of presence and openness.
The high frequencies unfold with finesse, revealing the finest details of the recording without ever causing listener fatigue. The result is a lively and deeply musical listening experience, capable of conveying with emotion both the intensity of an orchestra and the delicacy of a voice.
NEW HORN TWEETER TZ2540 MG -Ā ADVANCED ACOUSTIC TECHNOLOGIES
The tweeter incorporates many of the innovations developed for SOLSTICE. Its overall optimisation improves the consistency of high-frequency sound reproduction, delivering a more open, detailed and immersive listening experience.
BARREL STRUCTURE
At the entrance to the horn is a barrel-shaped cut-out that causes volumetric compression at the suspension. This geometric structure optimises the frequency response, resulting in better integration with the midrange driver.
OPTIMISED HORN
The driver profile has been fully optimised in accordance with the OS-SEW (Oblate Spheroid Super Elliptical Waveguide) principle. This geometry promotes a more uniform distribution of high frequencies throughout the listening area, ensuring a wider and more stable soundstage.
HERITAGE AND PERFORMANCE -Ā TRIANGLE MAGNESIUM DOME
The SOLSTICE tweeter builds on the acoustic fundamentals that have made the brandās reputation, featuring a 25 mm aluminium/magnesium dome. This alloy, which has already been tried and tested in the ESPRIT 40TH and MAGELLAN 40TH ranges, is renowned for its lightness and rigidity, enabling it to produce precise and detailed high frequencies.
BACKWAVE ABSORPTION -Ā HIGH-PERFORMANCE ENGINE
The tweeter in the SOLSTICE speakers features a high-power magnetic engine based on a neodymium ring with an open centre. Combined with a rear absorption chamber, this design helps to limit internal reflections and reduce distortion.
CONSISTENT SOUND DISTRIBUTION -Ā NEW PHASE PLUG
With a view to optimising high-frequency dispersion, the phase-alignment component has been specifically redesigned.
Now moulded as a single piece, it features a design inspired by the ābarrelā principle, ensuring better control over the propagation of sound waves.
Its redesigned structure allows for a more uniform distribution of high frequencies throughout the room and widens the listening area, ensuring a more consistent sound reproduction and constant sound quality, even off-axis from the speakers.
NEW BASKET -Ā NEW DRIVER ARCHITECTURE
Developed specifically for SOLSTICE, the new 16cm die-cast aluminium basket features an arch-shaped structure offering exceptional acoustic neutrality.
Its design combines mechanical rigidity with optimised airflow, preserving acoustic performance even at high listening levels.
EMISSIVE SURFACE EXTENSION -Ā NATURAL CELLULOSE PULP MIDRANGE
The cone benefits from a new rear-glueing system that increases the radiating surface area and improves the linearity of the reproduction, both acoustically and visually.
Made from natural cellulose pulp, a signature material for TRIANGLE, it stands out for its ability to reproduce voices and instruments with warmth and realism.
WOOFER
On the Solstice 8, the low frequencies are handled by new 16 cm drivers featuring a concave membrane with no dust cap. This design results in a particularly rigid cone, minimising distortion under heavy load and promoting more accurate reproduction of low frequencies. Their design also contributes to the speakerās sleek aesthetic, providing a continuous, uniform surface that reinforces the visual identity of the SOLSTICE range.
MIDWOOFER
The mid-woofer driver has been developed to offer an optimal balance between energy, natural sound and versatility. Its natural cellulose pulp cone stands out for its ability to reproduce timbres with finesse whilst maintaining excellent responsiveness. Capable of covering a wide frequency range with great consistency, it ensures a smooth transition between the bass and midrange registers. Vocals gain presence, instruments gain body, whilst the lower end of the spectrum retains all its dynamics and impact.
A BALANCE BETWEEN REGISTERS -Ā HIGH-QUALITY INTERNAL COMPONENTS
Invisible to the listener but essential to the sound balance, the crossover plays a central role in the performance of the SOLSTICE speakers.
Optimisation of the slopes, phase response and choice of components ensures a smooth transition between frequency bands, guaranteeing a natural and perfectly balanced sound reproduction.
Each crossover is constructed using carefully selected components, combining air-core inductors, MKT capacitors and cement-coated resistors, in order to preserve the signalās integrity.
SOUND CONTROL -Ā ROUNDED EDGES
For SOLSTICE, the pursuit of performance is also achieved through a cabinet with high inertia. Its design helps to create a stable structure, allowing the drivers to perform to their full potential.
The rounded edges minimise diffraction caused by side effects and promote a more uniform dispersion of sound throughout the room. This approach results in a more precise sound image and a more natural soundstage.
MECHANICAL EXPERTISE AND ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE -Ā A REINFORCED STRUCTURE
The structure also benefits from the DVAS (Driver Vibration Absorption System), where a high-density perforated reinforcement abuts the driver via a damping material, thereby stiffening the driver/cabinet assembly.
A high-density EVA foam gasket, positioned at the end of each internal reinforcement, ensures contact between the speaker driver and the reinforcement. This greatly dampens the transducer vibrations generated by the movement of the diaphragm, with only a small residual vibration being transmitted to the cabinet.
SOLSTICE TERMINALS -Ā OPTIMAL CONNECTION
The terminal block for the SOLSTICE range has been completely redesigned to combine performance with aesthetic integration.
Crafted from highly conductive materials, these new connectors ensure optimal signal transmission and offer broad compatibility with various connection types. Their exclusive design, finished in champagne, blends seamlessly with the rangeās refined aesthetic.
The Solstice 3 and Solstice C3 models feature a single terminal block, whilst the Solstice 8 benefits from a dual terminal block allowing for bi-wiring or bi-amping.
DESIGNED TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL -Ā AN OPTIMISED BASE
Hidden air flow
It conceals a laminar bass-reflex port specific to the range. This design, a first for TRIANGLE, reduces flow noise whilst ensuring dynamic and perfectly controlled low frequencies.
A dual-material structure
The base consists of a cast iron honeycomb structure covered with a thick layer of silicone. The combination of these two materials effectively absorbs vibrations from the speaker and helps to mechanically decouple it.
2° Inclination
Its 2-degree tilt optimises the speakerās directionality by widening the listening field, whilst making the speaker appear sleeker and enhancing its sense of stability.
Adjustable spikes
The Solstice 8 comes with adjustable metal spikes and counter-spikes to ensure excellent stability, whatever the floor surface.
HI-FI & HOME CINEMA VERSATILITY
The Solstice 8 builds on the legacy of the Antal models, one of TRIANGLEās iconic ranges. It retains the qualities that have forged its reputation: a lively sound, an open soundstage and great versatility, excelling equally well in music listening and in a home cinema setup, in an even more refined version.

Amplifier and Power Handling
Recommended amplifier RMS power: 60 to 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
Speaker power handling: 130 watts
* A speakerās power handling refers to the average continuous power that the speaker can handle without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier with a higher power rating than the speakersā power handling capacity by limiting the volume to 70 per cent of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too weak will clip and cause distortion, which can also damage the speakers if used beyond its capacity.
