Space Tune™ for optimal sound quality adjustment
Space Tune™ enhances your audio experience by optimising the sound space to suit your specific listening environment. It offers four convenient presets: Free, Wall, Corner and Shelf, so you can adjust the settings to best suit your acoustic environment and installation location. The L/R Custom function lets you enter separate settings for each speaker. For even more precise control, you can select “L/R Custom” in the Technics Audio Center application, allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your listening position and enjoy the best sound quality no matter where you sit in the room.

LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration)
Speaker impedance changes across frequencies, which can make it difficult for traditional amplifiers to deliver consistent audio quality. This problem is even more acute in digital amplifiers due to the use of low-pass filters, which can further impact performance. To solve this problem, we created an adaptive speaker impedance optimization algorithm. Simply run the "LAPC measurement process" with the remote control, and the technology will measure the frequency and phase characteristics of the amplifier connected to the speakers and digitally correct them in real time. The result is smoother, more balanced sound with greater depth and spatial clarity, for a richer listening experience.

Fully digital amplifier, JENO Engine
The SU-GX70 features a fully digital amplifier with Technics' advanced digital audio technology, which processes signals digitally from input to output. This minimizes signal degradation caused by external noise, delivering precise, high-resolution sound while preserving the warmth of analogue recordings. In addition, the JENO Engine in the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) reduces jitter, ensuring crystal-clear TV sound.

Superior audio quality via low-impact HDMI video output
To ensure the SU-GX70 delivers the best possible sound when using HDMI ARC, video signals must be sent first, which can sometimes cause noise. To avoid this, the SU-GX70 outputs video signals at a slower rate with pixel colors set to zero, reducing noise and protecting sound quality. In addition, signals are transmitted from the TV to the JENO Engine via the shortest possible path, minimizing jitter and ensuring crystal-clear audio. This unique approach from Panasonic/Technics, as HDMI licensees, ensures the highest sound quality with minimal interference.

Pure amplification mode for even lower noise
In Pure Amplification mode, the SU-GX70 enhances your listening experience by turning off the power to the network and HDMI circuits. This eliminates any potential noise from these components or the antenna, allowing the amplifier to focus solely on reproducing your music. The result is even clearer and more detailed sound quality, allowing you to enjoy your music with the utmost purity and precision.

Dual power system
Power supply design is critical in audio systems that contain amplifiers, digital circuits, and other such components. To eliminate any negative effects on the amplifier, the GX70 features a dedicated power supply for the power amplifier circuitry that is independent of any other circuitry. To this end, the same electrolytic capacitors used in high-end models are used in the dedicated amplifier power supply and power amplifier components.

The GX70 uses a high-speed switching power supply of approximately 130 kHz. Increasing the switching frequency reduces noise interference across the bandwidth of music reproduction. The result is a highly responsive power supply for music signals and more power to the speakers.

The SU-GX70 uses a redesigned amplifier circuit inspired by the high-end SU-R1000, with the same symmetrical layout for optimum performance. We’ve also included the highest quality audio components such as low-noise FETs, thin-film resistors and premium capacitors, just like in the SU-R1000.
